Prepare for Remembrance Sunday with The Trading Post
This year The Trading Post are working in partnership with the Bordeaux & SW France branch of the Royal British Legion to deliver paper poppies and collect donations throughout France in time for Remembrance Sunday in November.

The Royal British Legion (RBL) have been supporting military personnel and their families for over 100 years, with the Poppy Appeal being their largest annual fundraising event. Catering for the needs of both serving and veteran service men and women, the RBL is an invaluable source of comfort, care and community for countless people. The Trading Post are therefore proud to be able to help raise funds, using our extensive network of deliveries across France, in a variety of ways.

There are two ways to get your RBL paper poppies from us. Firstly, you can add them to your normal order online and they will be delivered with the rest of your things. You can choose to donate €1, €2 or €5 per poppy by ordering them using the following links:

Secondly, our Trading Post drivers will be equipped with boxes of poppies and collection tins, so you can donate (and pick a poppy) when you next collect your order. All of the proceeds will be passed directly to the Bordeaux & SW France branch of the Royal British Legion to continue their vital work supporting current and retired military personnel and their families.

The Bordeaux & SW France branch of the Royal British Legion was established in 1946 and covers the whole of Nouvelle Aquitane (over 32,000 sq km). The branch is heavily involved in local remembrance ceremonies and on Remembrace Sunday in November they hold a ceremony at the CWGC Cemetery in Talence, Bordeaux (which everyone is welcome to attend). They also help to provide support and community to British military veterans living in France, as well as doing vital fundraising. In addition to supplying paper poppies, the Bordeaux & SW France branch is able to directly provide full wreaths suitable for Remembrance Day ceremonies, and are on-hand to help with any information or support you may require. Simply contact them by using the following email address and they will get back to you as soon as possible:

If you simply want to make a quick and easy donation to the Royal British Legion, or set up a recurring contribution, you can do so on the donations page of the RBL website
