Creuse Control

The Trading Post has been making fee-free deliveries to collection points in the Creuse region for some time, with Gueret and La Soutteraine being a couple of our most popular drop-off points. Recently, and due to increased demand for our British and International products throughout the departement, we have extended our schedule to include both Aubusson and Bourganeuf, which will now both receive a monthly visit from our near-famous Trading Post vans. The even better news is that the new Bourganeuf drop occurs on a different week to the other Creuse collection points, meaning people in the Creuse can effectively receive Trading Post orders every two weeks!

Bourganeuf is a beautiful, medieval city in the southwestern corner of the Creuse departement, approximately 11km from Haute-Vienne. Officially labelled a “small city of character,” Bourganeuf has a 12th century chateau and many picturesque buildings dating from before 1600. It’s essentially worth a visit even if you are not picking up a Trading Post order! Our next delivery to the Bourganeuf collection point (located at the Post Office car park behind the Tourist Office) is Wednesday 10th August between 18:00 and 18:15. The following delivery will be four weeks after at the same time and place.

Situated at the confluence of the Creuse and Beauze rivers in the southern part of the region, Aubusson is famous for its tapestries and carpets which have been world-famous since the 14th century. Aubusson is so famous for its intricate weavings that, in the 1930s, artists such as Dali, Cocteau and Picasso were invited to Aubusson to create their own tapestries. The new Trading Post collection point is situated to the south of the town, near the La Rebeyrette ZAC, with our next delivery happening on Wednesday 24th August between 16:40 and 17:00.

For more information about free delivery to both Bourganeuf and Aubusson and our other collection points in Creuse and the rest of France, go to our dedicated delivery page. Remember to always order before the 9am deadline on the Monday of delivery week to avoid disappointment!
