The Trading Post now makes monthly deliveries to collection points in Biarritz (in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques département) and Marmande (in Lot-et-Garonne). This means there are now over eighty places you can meet our vans for monthly product pick-ups, receiving ambient, chilled and frozen goods without paying any delivery charge whatsoever.
You don’t have to go to Biarritz to know it is synonymous with luxury and a good quality of life. Credited as being the first place in Europe to witness a person surfing, on a surfboard, it is also only a couple of hours from ski resorts, meaning you can “surf,” on a snowboard, in the winter. Although The Trading Post has not been in France quite as long as Biarritz, luxury and lifestyle make it the perfect match (practically a twin town), so we have established our new Collection Point near the Hippodrome des Fleurs. Our next delivery is on Thursday 11th August between 16:30 and 16:45, with subsequent deliveries every four weeks thereafter.
Founded as a bastide in approximately 1195 by Richard the Lionheart, Marmande was united with the French crown under Louis IX, briefly occupied by the English in 1447 and resisted Wellington’s army for a month in 1814. Nowadays, it is well known for its tomato production (hence the July Tomato Festival) and the Garorock festival (which has nothing to do with tomatoes). Our next delivery to Marmande (in the Place Henri Bilac) is on Thursday 4th August between 11:10 and 11:25, then Thursday 1st September, then every four weeks after that.
