McVitie's Tasties Digestives

(Code: MCVITDIG)

Product Description

  • When McVitie's invented the digestive biscuit, it was originally thought that the inclusion of sodium bicarbonate in the recipe would aid digestion, hence the name. Whilst these biscuits probably don't help with indigestion any more than, say, a custard cream, their popularity is definitely verifiable: Digestives are the most popular biscuit for dipping into tea (and if there's one thing that makes drinking tea better, it's the gentle art of dipping biscuits into it). When not being dunked into hot liquid, Digestive biscuits can be found combining with butter to make some of the world's most popular cheesecake bases.
