Product Description

  • Established by Shanta and L.G. Parthak in a small shop behind Euston station, Patak's has been supplying Indian pickles, sauces, spices and confectionary since the 1950s. Their vindaloo spice paste provides the hot and aromatic flavour of one of the most iconic curries available, your classic vindaloo. Why not garnish with freshly-chopped coriander for an authentically-fragrant flavour.

Water, Ground Spices (23%) [Coriander (8%), Paprika, Red Chilli (2%), Turmeric, Spices, Cinnamon, Cumin, Fenugreek], Rapeseed Oil, Acids (Acetic Acid, Citric Acid), Maize Flour, Salt, Yellow MUSTARD Powder, Tamarind, Garlic Powder.

Storage

Best Before End: see lid. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use within 6 weeks of opening and before the best before end date.

Preparation and usage

  • Simply fry onion with oil until soft. Add garlic and ginger. Sizzle the spice paste to release flavours for a couple of minutes, then add a little water and cook until evaporated. Sear your meat or vegetables, add tomatoes and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes until everything is cooked through.
  • Serve alongside Patak's Naans, Pappadums, Chutneys and Pickles for the complete restaurant experience with your curry.
  • This product must be cooked before consumption
