Product Description

  • Established by Shanta and L.G. Parthak in a small shop behind Euston station, Patak's has been supplying Indian pickles, sauces, spices and confectionary since the 1950s. Great for a beef or cauliflower curry, madras sauce is hot and spicy. Packed with tomatoes and red chillis, Madras gets its name from Chennai (previously Madras) although it is unsure whether the dish was created there or in 1960s British curry houses.

Storage

Best Before End: see lid. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened use immediately.

Preparation and usage

  • Simply fry your meat or vegetables, pour over the sauce and simmer. All the hard work done for you: a tasty and authentic curry in just 25 minutes.
  • Enjoy with rice and/or naan.
