Product Description

  • Established by Shanta and L.G. Parthak in a small shop behind Euston station, Patak's has been supplying Indian pickles, sauces, spices and confectionary since the 1950s. Patak's Butter Chicken sauce is a mild butter and tomato-based ready-made curry sauce enhanced by the fragrant flavours of fenugreek and cardamom. Add chicken or paneer for a rich and deeply satisfying Indian meal.

Water, Tomato (10%), Single Cream (Milk) (10%), Butter (Milk) (4%), Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Modified Maize Starch, Concentrated Tomato Purée (2.5%), Dried Onions, Ground Spices (Spices, Coriander, Cumin), Garlic Purée, Ginger Purée, Salt, Smoked Ground Paprika, Acids (Lactic Acid, Citric Acid), Green Cardamom, Paprika Extract, Dried Fenugreek Leaf

Storage

Best Before End: see lid. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened use immediately.

Preparation and usage

  • Fry diced chicken breasts or paneer for 5 Mins in a little oil until sealed.
  • Add the sauce and simmer for 15 Mins until the chicken or paneer is cooked through.
  • Try adding a handful of peppers whilst simmering the sauce.
  • Serve with Patak's Naans, Pappadums, Chutneys and Pickles for the complete restaurant experience.
