• When McVitie's invented the digestive biscuit, it was originally thought that the inclusion of sodium bicarbonate in the recipe would aid digestion, hence the name. They became very popular. Then someone (a genius) decided to add milk chocolate to them. Now approximately 52 Chocolate Digestive biscuits are eaten every second in the UK, which is roughly the same rate as we eat them at The Trading Post. We advise buying more packets then you think you need, you'll thank us for it.
