Matthew Walker is the World's oldest Christmas pudding maker and they know how to balance rich fruity flavour with a distinctive bit of booze. Served with custard, brandy sauce or even ice cream, each 800g pudding will satisfy eight people.

Vine Fruits (34%) (Sultanas, Raisins), Sugar, Cider (14%), Fortified Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Rum (5%), Palm Oil, Glace Cherries (2%) (Cherries, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Colour: Anthocyanins, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Humectant: Glycerine, Molasses, Almonds (2%), Brandy, Orange and Lemon Peel, Water, Mixed Spice, Salt, Yeast.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place.

Preparation and Usage

Steam: Leave in basin with film lid on. Place the basin in a steamer over boiling water and steam for 2 hours. Ensure water does not enter the pudding. Do not allow the steamer to boil dry.

Microwave: Pierce film lid, place in microwave on a microwaveable plate. Heat on full power for 2 minutes 30 seconds (800W). Leave to stand for 2 minutes. Heat on full power for a further 2 minutes 30 seconds (800W). Leave to stand for 3 minutes before serving. Ensure pudding is piping hot. Guidelines only.
