Gem Golden Marzipan
Golden marzipan is a block of sweetened almond paste that, when rolled, is often used to add a nutty, sweet layer of both flavour and texture to cakes. Commonly found below the icing of a traditional Christmas cake, marzipan is also a key ingredient in chequered Battenburg cakes and German stollen.
