Product Description

A simple sponge mix that makes delicious, light sponges for all your cake and dessert needs. But wait! It contains no gluten, no milk and no peanuts (which feels like a strange thing to mention, but ok), so is suitable for practically everyone. Just add eggs and oil for free entry to a wonderland of "free-from" sponge. Now you can make a fun sponge to avoid being a fun sponge. 



Sugar, rice flour, potato starch, tapioca starch, maize flour, buckwheat flour, raising agents (mono-calcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate), thickener (xanthan gum).

  • 3 eggs (or 150ml soya milk + 4tsp vinegar/lemon juice), 120ml oil, 350g FREEE sponge cake mix, oil for tin.
  • Pre-heat oven (180°C/160°C fan). Oil two 18cm round cake tins. Beat eggs in a bowl with oil (or mix soya milk with vinegar/lemon juice and beat in oil). Add sponge mix to the bowl, beat until smooth. Put mix into the two tins, smooth top. Bake for 25-30 mins. Leave to stand for 5 minutes, then remove from tins and cool on a wire rack


Once opened store in cool dry place away from sunlight.
