It even has chocolate sprinkles for an impressive finish. You only need to add a bit of water, milk and sugar and you are in trifle heaven. Keep a box in the larder for those dessert emergencies, or just when you want to eat a whole trifle whilst watching TV.

Storage

For best before end see side of pack.Store in a cool, dry place. Once made up, store in a refrigerator and treat as fresh food.

Preparation

  • You need approx. 700ml of milk, water, 35g sugar, a large trfile bowl/serving dish.
  • Make jelly & leave to cool for 10 mins.
  • Make custard & leave to cool.
  • Break each sponge finger into 4 pieces, place in a serving dish and cover with the cooled jelly. Refrigerate for 30-40 mins.
  • Spoon cooled custard over the jelly and leave to cool completely.
  • Make the topping, swirl over cooled custard and scatter chocolate sprinkles on top.
